Speaker Zach Lipovsky
Zach Lipovsky is Vancouver based Emmy-nominated director who started his career on Spielberg's filmmaking competing "On the lot" where I placed 5th out of 12,000 directors worldwide.
He’s gone on to direct for SyFy, Lionsgate, Legendary and Warner Brothers and Disney and where he was the producing director for the award winning series Mech-x4, and the feature live action adaptation of the hit series Kim Possible. His first theatrical feature Freaks was the biggest Canadian sale at TIFF18' and went on to have the widest openings of any Canadian film in 2019. Last year he directed Final Destination: Bloodlines, which went on to become the highest grossing and best reviewed film of the Final Destination series. And also becoming the highest grossing ($317M) film shot entirely in canada by a Canadian ever.
He is also the chair of the DGC BC and the chair of the National Directors Division at the DGC National, and the founder of the app Shot Lister.
