Andrea Gabourie, President of Toronto-based FORTÉ Entertainment, is a multiple, Emmy Award-winning Creator and Executive Producer and one of Canada’s leading entertainment professionals.

Now celebrating its 10th year, FORTÉ is run by wife-and-husband team, Andrea & Mitch Gabourie, and has become one of the most trusted production companies based in Canada. FORTÉ’s commitment to high quality content includes successful programming with a long roster of premium content partners such as Netflix, Paramount+, CBC, Bell Media, Hearst UK and AETN.

FORTÉ’s recent productions include the feature documentary, My Nightmare Stalker: The Eva LaRue Story (Paramount+/Bell Media/Hearst UK), the eight-part docu-series The Death Coast (History Channel/USA Network) the Disney+ hybrid scripted/reality program The Quest, and three seasons of the Emmy Award-nominated international documentary series How I Got Here (BYUtv/Superchannel). FORTÉ is currently in production on a to-be-announced project, launching in 2026 on a major global streamer.

Andrea’s programs have won awards around the world including the International Emmy Award, Banff Rockie Awards, Gemini Awards, NY Festivals Film & TV Awards, the Columbus International Film & Video Festival and the Japan Prize.

Andrea is a leader recognized for her dedication to mentoring and fostering new talent in the film and television industry. She is a member of the Academy of Canadian Film and Television and of WIFT-T (Women in Film & Television, Toronto Chapter). She is a mother of twins, and a nationally published writer, with her work appearing in publications such as Elle Canada, Today’s Parent and the National Post.
