Speaker Beth Iley
Beth Iley is an accomplished television executive and producer with a keen eye for talent and over ten years’ experience developing and producing innovative and award-winning original content for the global market.
In her role as Vice President of International Series Development for award-winning Lark Productions, Iley oversees the company’s international development and co-production strategy. As part of Lark’s first-look distribution deal with Universal International Studios (UIS), a division of Universal Studio Group (USG), Iley works closely with the studio’s scripted team to develop new projects.
In a previous role as Senior Development Executive at Amazon MGM Studios, Iley oversaw the slate of original scripted and unscripted content for Prime Video in Canada. The scripted lineup included Three Pines, starring Alfred Molina; The Lake, starring Julia Stiles and Jordan Gavaris; and The Sticky, for which she also served as Executive Producer for the studio alongside Blumhouse Television, Jamie Lee Curtis’ Comet Pictures, Jonathan Levine’s Megamix, and Sphere Media. Iley also served as Creative Executive on the unscripted titles Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe and The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal, each of which won the TIFF People’s Choice Award for Documentary in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Iley cut her teeth in comedy working for New Metric Media, where she developed and subsequently produced Children Ruin Everything with Emmy award-winning creator Kurt Smeaton. During her time at the company she also developed Bria Mack Gets A Life, which won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Comedy Series in 2024.
She began her career at Boatrocker Studios (formerly Temple Street Productions) where she developed Peabody award-winning series Orphan Black, and launched X Company and The Next Step as well as Killjoys, which she produced for four seasons.
