Speaker Valerie Meraz
Valerie Meraz is a television and media industry executive known for consistently demonstrating her passion for nurturing creative and diverse voices across all media sectors. She has built a long career in content acquisitions and strategy working with basic and premium cable networks handling the sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation of television and film content. Valerie has held leadership roles at WarnerMedia, Showtime, and the Turner Networks. She’s also worked on creator experience teams at Instagram, Twitch, and TikTok. In September of 2025, she was appointed Senior Vice President of Content & Acquisitions at Fox Entertainment Global, where she leads the company’s worldwide content acquisition strategy across scripted, unscripted, and film formats to distribute content globally. Valerie has won several awards recognizing her role as leader for women in media and she currently resides in Los Angeles with her family.
