Speaker Anna Lambe
Anna Lambe is an Inuk actress, host, and emerging filmmaker from Iqaluit, Nunavut, quickly becoming one of the most compelling Indigenous voices in film and television today. She first broke onto the international stage with the feature film The Grizzlies, earning a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress and establishing herself as a talent to watch.
She continued to build critical acclaim with her role as Sarah in the CBC series Trickster, receiving a second Canadian Screen Award nomination, before expanding her presence across major international productions, including True Detective. Most recently, Lambe leads the APTN, CBC, and Netflix co-production North of North, a breakout series that has further solidified her as a rising global talent. Her performance earned her nominations for both a Gotham Award and an Independent Spirit Award, with the series achieving Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes. She is also nominated for Best Lead Performer in a Comedy Series at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards.
Lambe’s momentum continues with a slate of high-profile upcoming projects, including joining Brad Pitt in Paramount’s Heart of the Beast coming to theaters on Sept 25, 2026, appearing in Columbia Pictures The Social Reckoning coming to theaters Oct 9, 2026 and was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, and toplining in Elevation Pictures’ psychological thriller In the Heart of the South. She is also returning as the star of North of North for second season.
In addition to acting, Lambe has expanded into hosting as one of the faces of APTN’s documentary series Warrior Up!,and is increasingly working behind the camera. With support from the Nunavut Film Development Corporation, she wrote, produced, directed, and starred in her first short film, Qauppat, marking the beginning of her work as a storyteller across disciplines.
