Since 2004, Agnes Augustin has been driving the Shaw Rocket Fund’s ongoing commitment to champion Canadian children’s and youth programming through strategic investments in linear and digital content and spearheading industry initiatives such as the much celebrated Shaw Rocket Prize. Her dedication to increase the profile of the Canadian children’s and youth media industry, both domestically and internationally can be seen through Fund’s activities and strategic global partnerships. In her role at the Shaw Rocket Fund, she is proud to support the Canadian children’s media sector by supporting the creation of high quality content for children and their families to enjoy on all platforms around the world.
Prior to assuming her position at the Shaw Rocket Fund, Agnes worked in many sectors of the Canadian film and television industry. She held senior management positions in business affairs with a number of production and distribution companies, starting her career as a Financial Analyst with Telefilm Canada. Agnes also held the position of Head of Production for Country Music Television (Corus Entertainment) and was a production accountant and independent producer. As a consultant, Agnes worked with many organizations including PwC and the BC Economic Development Association.
