Laura Michalchyshyn is Chief Creative Officer, Blue Ant Media & Co-President, Content Production, Blue Ant Studios. In this role, she oversees creative content across multiple Blue Ant Media businesses while co-managing and growing Blue Ant Studios with a focus on the production slate in the U.S. She has run channels and programming teams in the U.S. and Canada for Sundance Ch, Discovery, and Alliance Atlantis Media. She was Executive Producer (and Co-Founder) of Robert Redford’s Sundance Productions. She has produced content for all entertainment and media platforms in the U.S. and worldwide and has partnered with talent, production companies, studios and networks including Radical Media, Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Media, Dawn Porter, Marina Zenovich, Joe Berlinger, Isabella Rossellini, Mike Clattenburg, Stephen David Entertainment, Brick City TV, and All Rise Productions. Recent productions include Momentum Generation for HBO and Universal, Bobby Kennedy for President for Netflix, four seasons of Death Row Stories for CNN, American West for AMC, Ocean Warriors for Animal Planet, and coming in May 2020 a new theatrical feature documentary directed by Dawn Porter JOhn Lewis: Good Trouble for CNN, Magnolia and Participant. Laura has produced fiction and non-fiction for many networks and platforms including Netflix, Hulu, CNN, HBO, Showtime, AMC, Discovery, BBC, Ovation TV, CBC, EPIX, and Sundance Channel.
