Nataline Rodrigues is a strategic and creative thinker with extensive experience in content creation at all stages and in all genres, for broadcast television and digital media platforms. In her current role as Director of Original Programming, Nataline Rodrigues oversees the submission, development and production, of original Canadian programming for non-sports television brands and platforms at Rogers Sports & Media.
Since joining Rogers in 2013, Rodrigues has led the development and production of critically acclaimed original scripted programs that include dramatic series like: Hudson and Rex, Bad Blood, The Wedding Planners, The Murders, Between as well as the groundbreaking Chinese/English procedural drama Blood and Water. Nataline also oversaw the Canadian slate and launch of VICELAND Canada, as part of a joint venture between Rogers and VICE Media. VICELAND programs she EP’d include documentary series CyberWar and Rise as well as scripted comedies Nirvanna The Band The Show and FUBAR: Age of Computer. Other original comedies under her direction for Citytv and OMNI include Second Jen, Mangoes A Slice of Life, sketch series Sunnyside and single cam Young Drunk Punk as well as the second seasons of Seed, Package Deal and Meet the Family. On the unscripted side she has helmed international reality series and formats like The Bachelor Canada and Storage Wars Canada. She also amplified the OLN brand with original new series like Illusions of Grandeur, Close Up Kings, Escape or Die, and Polar Bear Town while cultivating ongoing series The Liquidator, Survivorman and Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan. Prior to her role at Rogers Sports & Media, Rodrigues held the position of Executive in Charge of Production at CBC where she managed the development and production of numerous programs including Cracked, Being Erica, Arctic Air, Book of Negroes and Magic Hockey Skates. She also worked as an Executive for Canwest and Alliance Atlantis where she was responsible for the development and production of numerous original series for Slice, Life Network, Food Network, NatGeo, TVTropolis, which include shows like Til Debt Do us Part, Rich Bride Poor Bride, Fixing Dinner, The Mom Show and Last 10lbs Bootcamp to name a few. Rodrigues has also worked in the independent sector as a producer, director, and writer in addition to developing factual and dramatic programs, including award-winning documentaries like A Deathly Silence, Canada’s War in Colour and Planet Storm.
