Master Class: American Portrait

Produced by PBS and RadicalMedia, PBS American Portrait is an ongoing, real-time multiplatform storytelling project that asks the public what it’s really like to be American today. Whether it’s joy or sorrow, triumph or hardship, family traditions followed for decades or just the chaos of the morning school run, people from all over the country offer a glimpse of life as it’s really lived, today, through their own videos, pictures and text. The first half-hour special, "In This Together: A PBS American Portrait Story" is available now on all PBS platforms. Two more specials are coming this year and a four-hour PBS documentary series premieres in January 2021. Join our seasoned producer panelists for an in-depth conversation on what it takes to bring this ambitious project to life.
