This year, as most recently seen opposite Kristen Wiig, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Jamie  Dornan in Lionsgate’s comedy “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar” (February 20210). He also appeared opposite Scott Eastwood and Orlando Bloom in Screen Media Films’ war drama “The  Outpost,” based on the 2012 non-fiction book The Outpost: An Untold Story of American Valor by Jake  Tapper.  

Born in Atlanta and raised in New Jersey, Kwame was raised by a single mother in a tough neighborhood. At 16 years old his mother moved the pair to Baltimore for a change of scenery, and to hopefully pull Kwame out of the wrong crowd. There, she enrolled him in a Job Corps program to help him earn his GED. When he earned his GED at 18, Kwame decided to join the military and enlisted in the U.S. Army. After three years he sustained a back injury and was honorably discharged. Upon arriving back in Baltimore, Kwame worked serving tables and as a line cook before landing a job in telecommunications installation, where after three months he became a team lead. When his company was purchased by Verizon, Kwame began a new career with the wireless network operator. While at  Verizon, Kwame fell into a one-day gig working on HBO’s “The Wire,” which was set in Baltimore.  Producers loved him so much, they called him back to be a regular character on the show. Throughout season four he appeared in 7 episodes and came back for all 10 episodes in season 5 (2006-2008).  Kwame has been developing his craft and immersing himself in complex and diverse roles since his big break nearly 15 years ago. 

Additional television credits for Kwame include recurring roles on the award-winning series “Ray  Donovan” (Showtime) and “American Crime Story” (FX), Sony Crackle’s “The Oath,” TNT’s “Dark Blue,”  ABC’s “Castle,” FOX’s “Lethal Weapon,” Amazon’s “Bosch,” and FX’s “Snowfall.”  

When he isn't on set, Kwame is a self-proclaimed homebody and he loves to spend time at home with his friends and family. He has a huge place in his heart for mentorship and giving back, and hopes to utilize his platform and voice to help keep kids out of the juvenile justice system.  

Kwame currently lives in the Los Angeles area.
