Andrew Cividino is a writer / director hailing from Toronto. His debut feature film SLEEPING GIANT had its world premiere at Critics’ Week in Cannes and went on to win prizes at TIFF, Munich, and Mumbai. Andrew was a frequent director on the POPTV/CBC series SCHITT’S CREEK, for which he won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series in 2020. His upcoming limited series CUTBLOCK is in development at HBO with Adam McKay’s Hyperobject Industries. He will also be directing a limited series adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s acclaimed graphic novel ESSEX COUNTY with CBC and First Generation Films. In addition to directing, Andrew is a co-founder and producer at Film Forge, an independent production company that’s slate includes Brandon Cronenberg’s upcoming feature INFINITY POOL. Andrew is an alumni of Berlinale Talents, TIFF’s Len Blum Fellowship, Sundance Institute’s FilmTwo Lab, and the Oxbelly Screenwriters Lab.
