Nina Hahn is Senior Vice President of International Production & Development for Nickelodeon International and Head of ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) Kids.
Based in London, Hahn oversees international content development and co-production partnerships for all ViacomCBS kids’ content outside of the United States. Hahn coordinates and drives the development process, spearheads new production models, manages productions from pilot through to series and works in direct partnership with content teams around the world.
While leading production and development for Nickelodeon International, Hahn is responsible for internationally sourced productions, aligning Nickelodeon’s global production and development pipeline, representing Nickelodeon’s domestic production and development interests abroad and identifying resources and expertise to drive creative partnerships and cultivate talent. As the main international production and development conduit for Nickelodeon’s channels, Hahn also ensures the cultural relevancy of all Nickelodeon production and development for global broadcast.
Additionally, Hahn works in direct partnership with Nickelodeon in the UK to source content from UK independent producers for potential global production and development.
As Head of VIS Kids, Hahn is focused on growing the studio’s kids content pipeline and expanding its global footprint to feed the entire ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) kids content ecosystem, including for VCNI channels and platforms, in addition to third parties. Hahn leads on sourcing and developing compelling genre and platform agnostic originals within animated, live action and preschool genres by aligning closely with the studio’s production and development teams across Latin America, the UK, Spain and Israel. Hahn collaborates closely with domestic and international counterparts, along with an expanded central team that includes international development and production, sales and distribution.
Hahn is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in creating and producing content for kids spanning all genres, from pre-school and kid’s animation, to live action and TV movies. Since joining Nickelodeon in 2005, Hahn pioneered the organization’s first global hub for content sourcing and creation, and she has initiated first-of-its-kind projects with markets like China with Deer Squad, a co-production with iQiyi; Israel with Spyders, Nickelodeon International’s first original co-production with Ananey Studios; and India with The Twisted Timelines of Sammy & Raj, the brand’s first collaboration with Viacom18.
Working closely with Nickelodeon’s U.S. division, Hahn is the driving force behind establishing the brand as a core international hub for creators and talent and has spearheaded the international roll-out of creative outreach initiatives designed to unearth and identify new creative talent. Hahn has brought in over 2,000 hours of original content and led enterprise-wide efforts like Nickelodeon’s first global Writer’s Program, as well as the brand’s first global Shorts Program, which spawned It’s Pony, Nickelodeon International’s first original animated series for the 8-10 kids demographic to be greenlit by the U.S. for a global roll-out, and Shark Dog, VIS’ first internationally originated global animated series for Netflix, premiering worldwide in 2021.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Hahn worked as an independent producer and development consultant for some of the world’s leading kid’s content producers and broadcasters in New York, including HBO and Jim Henson Productions.
