Friday, June 18
9:30am - 10:20am

What it means to run a public broadcaster in 2021 (and beyond)

Public media has never been so important, nor under so much threat. Constrained by past realities as governments work to update public broadcasting policy to level the playing field, what are their key strategies for pubcasters to not only survive but creatively and commercially thrive in today’s media universe? Join us as we regather executives leading some of the world’s most prominent public broadcasters to update the BANFF 2019 discussion on the utility and role of public service broadcasters in the era of disinformation, and how they aim to fulfill their mandate to provide cultural and educational fare across platforms.
