Vice-président des services juridiques et technologies de l’information et secrétaire général de Téléfilm Canada, Sébastien Pigeon pilote notamment le dossier de l’intelligence artificielle et a mené l’élaboration récente d’une politique d’affaires en IA.
Avocat titulaire d’une maîtrise en droit des technologies de l’information de l’Université de Montréal, il agit aussi à titre de vice-président du groupe de travail sur l’IA de Patrimoine canadien, contribuant ainsi activement aux réflexions nationales sur le sujet. Il a également animé un atelier lors du Sommet sur l’IA à Banff, axé sur les enjeux et possibilités pour le secteur audiovisuel.
Il oeuvre dans l’industrie depuis 2001, ayant occupé différents rôles, incluant ceux de producteur exécutif chez Aetios et vice-président exécutif chez Sphère Média. Il a également siégé au conseil d’administration de la CMPA jusqu’en 2025.

As Vice President, Legal Services, Information Technology and Corporate Secretary at Telefilm Canada, Sébastien Pigeon leads the organization’s artificial intelligence file and recently oversaw the development of its AI business policy.
A lawyer with a master’s degree in Information Technology Law from Université de Montréal, he also serves as Vice-Chair of the Canadian Heritage AI Working Group, contributing actively to national discussions on the subject. He has also led a workshop at the Banff AI Summit, engaging industry stakeholders on the opportunities and challenges for the audiovisual sector.
He has been active in the industry since 2001, holding various roles, including Executive Producer at Aetios and Executive Vice President at Sphère Média. He also served on the board of the CMPA until 2025.
