Named one of Most Influential Women in International Film by The Hollywood Reporter in 2023, Karen is an acclaimed producer, line producer and lead creative on over a dozen feature films and series. Karen has led physical production on studio and streamer-backed works including feature films Firestarter (Blumhouse/Universal) and Kiss of Death (Blumhouse), and TV series Slip (Boat Rocker/Roku)and Essex County (CBC/ITV). Select film credits include Shook (TIFF 2024), Infinity Pool (Sundance, Berlinale) released by Neon, Focus Features and Elevation Pictures in 2023, White Lie (TIFF 2019), Fail to Appear (VIFF 2018), M/M (Slamdance 2018) and Andrew Cividino’s debut Sleeping Giant (Cannes, TIFF 2015).
Karen is a leading expert on international co-production, serving as Canada’s National Coordinator with EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs). She is an alumna of TIFF Studio, the EAVE Producers Workshop and The Torino Film Lab, and is a faculty member at Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts, where she teaches creative producing and film production.
