Speaker Alessandra Ferreri
Alessandra first joined storytelling platform, Wattpad, in 2015 and now serves as Vice President of Content for their expanded IP adaptation business: Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. In this role, she leads the global content operations strategy, managing the flow of webnovels and webcomics to entertainment, publishing and merchandising opportunities.
With nearly a decade of experience working with creator communities, Alessandra has accumulated an exceptionally deep and broad understanding of online-based IP, specializing in the intersection of pop culture, audience insights, and the dynamics of fandom.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and a post-graduate certificate in Creative Book Publishing from Humber College. Alessandra also moonlights as a theatre artist and is currently the Artistic Producer for Players Toronto, a non-profit theatre company that stages alt-comedy musical mashups and has raised over $250,000 for local charities.
