Nick Nantell is a television and film producer and studio executive. Currently, he serves as Executive Vice President, Head of Scripted Creative, Boat Rocker Studios. In this role, he oversees Boat Rocker’s U.S. and Canadian scripted divisions and live-action Kids & Family projects. He is an Executive Producer on numerous Boat Rocker premium scripted series, including Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter for AMC, Beacon 23, starring Lena Headey and Stephan James for MGM+, and American Rust, starring Jeff Daniels and Maura Tierney for Prime Video.
Additionally, he has overseen the launches of multiple high-profile Boat Rocker series, including Invasion at Apple TV+, Palm Royale, starring Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern at Apple TV+, and Slip, written, starring and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones at Roku.
Outside of his role at Boat Rocker, he also produced the PGA nominated Best Streaming Movie 8 Bit Christmas, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Steve Zahn for New Line Cinema and HBO Max.
Previously, Nantell was Senior Vice President and Head of Television & Film at The Dan Jinks Company where he produced the CBS pilots Drew and LFE, as well as the TV Land pilot I Shudder. He also developed the pilot and served as the production executive on The CW series Emily Owens M.D., which NPR named “best new network show of 2012”.
In his previous role at the film production company ContraFilm, he was the development/production executive on What's Your Number (New Regency), Journey to The Center of the Earth 2 (New Line) and Red Dawn (MGM).
Originally from Minnesota, Nantell is a graduate of the University of Southern California and now lives in Studio City, CA with his wife and two daughters.
