Mike Stiller

Head of East Coast Development

A+E Networks/The HISTORY Channel

Mike Stiller is Head of East Coast Development for The History Channel. In that role he co-leads development for the network and developed the channel’s newest hit, The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd. During his nearly 20-year career at the channel, Stiller has developed some of the most popular franchises in nonfiction entertainment - The Curse of Oak Island (cable’s #1 nonfiction series), the worldwide hit Ancient Aliens, Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy, and more.

Stiller has also been behind a slate of critically acclaimed documentaries, including WWII in HD, Vietnam in HD, Colosseum, Road to 9/11, the Emmy-nominated Third Reich: Rise & Fall, and Roots: A New Vision, winner of the 2017 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Documentary.

Previously at A+E Networks, Stiller oversaw development for the H2 channel. He was behind the series Brad Meltzer’s Lost History which located the lost Ground Zero Flag of 9/11, and has shepherded an eclectic slate of shows and content including The Proof is Out There, Truck Night in America, Ax Men, Full Metal Jousting, podcasts, and more.

Prior to joining A+E Networks, Stiller was a writer for MTV, Nickelodeon, and Noggin. In the 1990s, he developed video games, including Men In Black: The Game, and the award-winning children’s interactive series One Small Square. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
