Lyle Gamm is the Senior Vice President of original series for CNN Worldwide, supervising production for CNN Original Series.
Since joining CNN in 2019, Gamm has led a team of executives tasked with the creation and day to day production of award-winning programming, including the three-time Emmy® Award-winning Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, Space Shuttle Columbia: The Final Flight, United States of Scandal with Jake Tapper, First Ladies, Lincoln: Divided We Stand, The Murdochs: Empire of Influence, Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico and the five-time Emmy® Award-winning United Shades of America with Kamau Bell.
Prior to CNN, Gamm served as Vice President of programming for Pivot TV/Participant Media, where he oversaw unscripted series and executive produced such projects as The Secret Lives of Americans, Truth and Power, Angry Planet, Welcome to Fairfax and the Emmy® Award-winning HitRecord on TV with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Gamm has worked closely with director-producer R.J. Cutler on several projects including The September Issue, Fish, The Residents, American Candidate, and 30 Days. In addition, Gamm worked for Cutler as the show runner and executive producer on the IDA Award Nominee Dear… for Apple TV+. He also served as a producer on director Brett Morgen’s Peabody Award-winning series Nimrod Nation and director Alex Gibney’s The Human Behavior Experiments. Gamm previously served as a development consultant for Vox Media and Blumhouse Television.
A graduate of Vassar College, Gamm is a longtime member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy of Arts and Science. He resides in Los Angeles with his family and two cats.
