Speaker Mike Armitage
Mike has been developing original television series for nearly fifteen years. He began his career as a Producer on CBC’s hit series Dragons’ Den in 2006, eventually becoming the showrunner in Season 7. Following his passion for storytelling and obscure hobbies, he went on to create a long list of original unscripted series for major broadcasters and streamers.
He specializes in creating unique competition formats, automotive documentary series, food, renovation, and outdoor adventure.
Mike has won two Canadian Screen Awards and one Gemini Award for his work. He’s a dad of two and a committed cat person.
