Border2Border Entertainment

Alexander Nunez is a CSA and WGC award nominated queer writer and actor of Jamaican & Chilean descent, who currently resides in Toronto. At the age of 17, Alexander got his start in the entertainment industry as a performer and improviser on Try It! – a Disney Channel comedy special. He went on to study dramatic literature at the University of Toronto, where he also majored in both Psychology and Criminology.

Alexander’s passion for heightened comedy led him to This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he worked as a writer for two seasons. For his work on This Hour, Alexander was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for writing on a sketch comedy/variety series. Nunez's other writing credits include Avocado Toast The Series, and CBC’s Moonshine. On Moonshine, Alexander both starred as Sammy Finley-Cullen, and wrote for the show's third season.

Today, Alexander is focused on drawing from his own experiences to tell interpersonal stories that champion the underdog. His own original comedy series, titled Settle Down – a story about a matchmaker who can’t get out of the way of his own love life – is set to release on OUTtv in February 2025.
