Speaker Richard Speer
Richard Speer, a leader in the content and entertainment industries, founded Attraction in 2002. Today he heads a company whose renowned expertise affords him a leading role in Canadian television and film. Since its founding, Attraction has produced more than 8,000 hours of television, many feature films, and has received hundreds of the industry’s most prestigious awards.
Speer received a B.A.A. in Finance from Université Laval and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Université de Montréal. Since 2012, he has served as the Quebec President of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. In 2013, Speer received the Young Entrepreneur of Quebec prize at the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montreal’s Arista competition, and was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014.
