A proud Manitoba Metis, Vanessa has produced and directed over 100 hours of original and captivating programming that reflects the Indigenous Peoples of Canada. In her 13+ years as Co-General Manager at Animiki See Digital Production she has produced dramatic, documentary and music programs including Indigenous Day Live, a live national concert event that celebrates Indigenous Solidarity Day across Canada each year.

Other recent programs of note are the CSA-nominated series First Contact (Seasons 1 & 2) and 1491: The Untold Story of the Americas based on the New York Times bestselling book by Charles Mann.

In addition to her work in Canadian television, Vanessa has also been actively involved in several World Indigenous Television Broadcast Network (WITBN) initiatives that have included partnerships and collaborations with international Indigenous broadcasters from Norway, New Zealand, Australia, Taiwan, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
