In her role as Senior Vice President of Global Television for Participant, Miura Kite oversees Participant’s narrative and documentary television slate by identifying, developing, packaging and executive producing high-end properties for premium cable, digital and emerging platforms. At Participant, she developed Ava DuVernay’s limited drama series When They See Us for Netflix, and Executive Produced Noughts + Crosses for BBC1. Current projects include Interior Chinatown set up at Hulu and In Memoriam set up at HBOmax. Previous to Participant, in her role as Head of Development at Playtone, Kite co-produced HBO’s Emmy Award®-winning miniseries, The Pacific and the HBO Emmy Award®-winning film, Game Change and served as Development Executive on five seasons of HBO’s series Big Love and the miniseries John Adams as well as films Where the Wild Things Are, Mamma Mia! and Charlie Wilson’s War. Kite serves on the Advisory Board of WeForShe, a women’s advocacy group that strives to find practical ways to bring about a gender-balanced landscape in television.
