Juan Ponce serves as Senior Vice President & General Manager for Telemundo Streaming Studios, an integral part of Telemundo Global Studios and the first-ever studio in Hispanic media exclusively dedicated to serving the growing Latino streaming audiences in the US and around the world. 

Ponce’s responsibilities include leading Telemundo Streaming Studios to produce original premium scripted content exclusively designed to fulfill the growing needs of direct-to-consumer platforms. In addition, Ponce will manage the development and production of owned IP and offer production services to direct-to-consumer platforms in search of high-quality production expertise and capabilities. On top of leading Telemundo’s newest business unit, Ponce will continue to oversee Production Operations, Production Design and Telemundo’s Underground Producciones in Argentina. He reports directly to Beau Ferrari, Chairman, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. 

Prior to that, Ponce managed the teams of Future Development and Casting & Talent Management and was responsible for the evolution of the studio’s productivity, profitability, and innovation by streamlining the creative collaboration processes while increasing the artistic value to engage an evolving audience. In this role, he assisted with the creation and expansion of premium, short-form mini-series produced in over eight countries for all media platforms. 

He was also the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Strategy for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises leading enterprise-wide strategic reviews, market assessments and sizing of new opportunities, specific company evaluations, partnership structures and terms, and Mergers & Acquisitions. 

Ponce joined NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises in 2016 after launching his own digital media startup and spending nearly 15 years in the financial services industry. He worked in Investment Banking advising institutional investors and Corporate clients on Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Investments and Corporate Development. He is a seasoned equities and venture capital investor and has advised multiple startups in diverse industries.   

Ponce earned his Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and B.A. in Economics & Management with a minor in Political Science from Albion College.
