Co-Presidents and Executive Producers of AMAZE, Michael Souther and Teza Lawrence have been business partners for more than two decades. They met while attending Queens University and in 2001 founded AMAZE (formerly known as Amaze Film + Television) to create compelling and authentic programming. Souther and Lawrence are currently executive producing the highly anticipated series The Lake starring Jordan Gavaris and Julia Stiles, marking the first Amazon Studios original scripted series in Canada. Together, they oversee a robust slate of television drama and comedy projects in development in the US and Canada. Some of their previous credits include the mystery drama procedural Carter starring Jerry O’Connell; the award-winning HBO dark comedy series Call Me Fitz starring Jason Priestley, which was licensed to more 190 territories worldwide; the half-hour comedy The Stanley Dynamic; the TIFF Kids Audience award-winning family film Finn On The Fly; the multi-award-winning dramatic feature film Saint Ralph; and the WGA Award-nominated comedy documentary Being Canadian.
