Tom Hastings

Head of Original Programming in Canada, Paramount+

Tom Hastings, who joined Muse Entertainment in October 2021, is the former Director of Drama at Bell Media’s Original Programming Unit. Tom’s successes include the International Emmy award nominated series, 19-2 and the ground-breaking series, Cardinal. Winner of back-to-back Canadian Screen Awards, Cardinal sold into 110 territories around the world and recently aired on BBC2. His production for CTV, the medical procedural, Transplant is currently the number one new drama series in Canada and was winner of the Best Drama Series at the 2021 CSAs. Additional critically acclaimed original series include The Disappearance and Wynonna Earp which was lauded by Variety as one of the best series of 2017 and was two-time winner of the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi / Fantasy Show.

Tom has extensive and long-standing relationships with Canada’s independent production and literary communities and is especially known for his respected relationships with Canadian writers, producers and agents. Tom holds a doctorate degree, having obtained his Ph.D. in English Literature.
