Born and raised in suburbia Toronto, Ilana graduated with a BA Honours in Film and Drama from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. After completing her degree, Ilana toiled between her love of the theatre and her passion for film before deciding that it was the film and television industry that was her calling – who could resist 14 hr days! After seven years working in production, in 2008 Ilana settled into the comfort and success of the Jennifer Hollyer Agency, one of Canada’s top literary agencies, becoming a partner in 2015. Whether it’s selling a television series to a network or helping clients land their first job, Ilana thrives in the unpredictable nature of the job and gets immense satisfaction helping people realize their dreams. Ilana brings her experience, critical mind, and remarkable winning streak at Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture Edition to every aspect of her job. When she’s not at work Ilana can be found travelling the world, walking her dog Penny, or watching tennis, her all time favourite spectator’s sport.
