BANFF DIVERSITY OF VOICES INITIATIVE
A national training and access program for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour creators and producers.
The Netflix-BANFF Diversity of Voices Initiative offers a professional springboard for underserved creators and producers from across Canada.
The goal of the initiative is to jump-start and accelerate individual careers and help projects at all stages move forward by providing an international market platform for participants to pitch their projects and grow their professional networks at the Banff World Media Festival (BANFF).
Over the long term, the festival aims to foster a legacy of greenlights and international sales for program participants and the partners who work with them.
"Thanks to the program, I’ve made strong international sales contacts and future international co-producing partners." Julian Black Antelope, Herd of 1 Media
"The Diversity of Voices program was a great opportunity to meet people I wouldn't regularly have access to. There were some great sessions that helped me figure out next steps for my projects!" Kristina Esposito, KEME Productions
"It was an eye opening and career building experience. It opened doors to major broadcasters in Canada and around the world for our children’s programming." Daniel Foreman, Treaty 6 Productions
