Jason Badal

Jason Badal is Head of Canada for Disney+, the global streaming service owned by The Walt Disney Company. He also serves as a Board Director of the MLSE Foundation. Prior to this role he was the global head of multinational merchants within Shopify, bringing mass adoption of ecommerce to the largest and most complex companies in the world.
Prior to Shopify, Jason led business affairs and development at Rogers Media and Sportsnet, Canada's #1 sports network. He joined Rogers Media after it acquired Score Media, where he served as head of business and legal affairs. Jason practiced as a technology and corporate lawyer at McCarthy Tetrault LLP, taught at Ryerson University and Osgoode Hall Law School, and is an angel investor and advisor to a number of startups in the sports, technology and direct to consumer commerce industries.
