Jonathan Sinclair currently serves as executive vice president of Programming and Development for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. In this role, Sinclair develops and delivers new and inspirational programming that aligns with Oprah Winfrey’s legacy and expands the first-rate content of the network.
Sinclair first joined Harpo Studios in 1996 as a creative services producer and during his tenure has held positions with increasing levels of responsibility, including Senior Supervising Producer of Creative Services and Vice President of Development and Supervising Producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show 20th Anniversary DVD box set, featuring highlights form 20 years of the #1 daytime talk show on television.
Sinclair most recently oversaw the development for the highly anticipated series Chad Loves Michelle, and Ready to Love, joining the network’s popular Saturday night lineup later this year. Sinclair’s work also includes the groundbreaking seven-part documentary series Belief, which he executive produced with Oprah Winfrey. Sinclair also served as executive producer of the Emmy-nominated series Oprah’s Master Class and Iyanla: Fix My Life. He also served as a key member of the team that developed The Dr. Oz Show and The Nate Berkus Show. Additionally, Sinclair helped to develop and produce the primetime series Oprah’s Big Give and primetime specials including Oprah’s Oscar Special and Christmas at the White House for ABC, as well as the docu-series Released.
Prior to joining Harpo, Sinclair was a writer and producer of special projects at WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH where he was awarded a National Iris Award and a Regional Emmy. He is also the recipient of multiple NAACP Image Awards and Telly Awards. He began his career as the Creative Services producer and news cameraman at WMGM-TV in Atlantic City, NJ.
