Shelly Tatro is Senior Vice President of Development & Programming for A&E Network, a role she assumed in 2014. Tatro is responsible for the development and production of A&E’s nonfiction, alternative and reality series. Her current programs include the mega-hit Live PD, Cultureshock, Undercover High, 60 Days In, Nightwatch, Grace vs. Abrams, and the Emmy Award®-winning Born This Way. Other recent credits include the Emmy Award-nominated LA Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later, Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G., and Who Killed Tupac?.
Prior to joining A&E, Tatro was Senior Vice President of East Coast Production and Development at VH1 for more than a dozen years. She had oversight of development and production for hundreds of hours of programming, including docu-soaps, reality competition and documentary series. Some of her hits include Mob Wives, Love and Hip Hop, Hogan Knows Best, I Want to Work for Diddy, and Black Ink Crew. Tatro and her in-house production team launched the hit I Love the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's franchise.
Tatro previously worked at NBC, TNT, Q2 and HBO Downtown.
