Banff World Media Festival takes place at the Fairmont Banff Springs, also known as the "Castle in the Rockies", a stunning luxury hotel that was built during the 19th century with breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains. - Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
The Government of Canada's new entry requirement now in effect: visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to, or transit through a Canadian airport, need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent resident cannot apply for an eTA. PLEASE NOTE: If you are driving into Banff yourself, you will be required to present a Park Pass upon entering through the Park gates. As part of the Canada 150 celebrations, you can claim a free 2017 Parks Canada Discovery Pass in advance by visiting the Parks Canada website.
