Sarah Sharkey Pearce

Sarah Sharkey Pearce is the Creative Director of Content in eOne’s Unscripted division. Most recently he was the show runner of CBC’s documentary series This Is High School. Prior to her work on This Is High School, she was the showrunner on the hit series Yukon Gold for HISTORY CANADA and NATGEO US. 

With over 15 years experience in factual television Sarah has written, directed and produced content in a wide variety of genres including Men’s TV, True Crime, Documentary and Lifestyle programming. Her credits include: Yukon Gold (2011-2016), Yukon Trappers (2015), Coldwater Cowboys (2014), Urban Suburban (2011), Very Bad Men (2011), Murder She Solved (2010), Cold Blood (2009), Dual Suspects (2009), Urban Legends (2008) and Circus (2001). 

In addition to her work in television, Sarah has created a number of acclaimed academic and artistic projects, including a Canada Council for the Arts funded research project on public sex, and a multi-disciplinary, community-based collaboration with Architect Mariangela Piccone, titled ‘Weston Public.’ She has also worked extensively with at-risk youth to make their own documentary content in new media, film and video.

Sarah graduated with a B.F.A. in Film and Video from York University in 2000 and an M.F.A. in Documentary Media from Ryerson University in 2010. A Toronto native, she now lives in Vancouver, BC.
