Sid Santiago Zanforlin

Sid Santiago Zanforlin is a LatinX Canadian director and writer originally hailing from Montreal, now in Toronto. He draws heavily from his Chilean and Québécois heritage and is committed to fostering diversity in the television industry.

Sid is currently seeking producing partners for his projects, which include a teen horror tv series based on Scholastic IP (Haunted Canada), an ensemble grounded sci-fi series (Futura), and a LatinX supernatural horror feature (The Quilt).

A graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, Sid has a diverse background, having worked as an IATSE cameraman, theatre director, and writer/director of numerous shorts, music videos, two indie features, and over 90 episodes of both factual and scripted TV.

His achievements include winning a Mecca Award for theatrical revelation, receiving a nomination for a Banff Kids' TV Award, and earning accolades at various film festivals for his short films. Additionally, his music videos have been featured in several museums, including the MAC.

Notably, Sid was recently shortlisted for a TV Directing CSA nomination. In a previous chapter of his life, he was a punk drummer and garnered a Juno nomination for his musical work.
