Carina is an experienced TV executive who has spent the last thirteen years on the buying side, dabbling in everything from high octane action to local language drama to soapy Booktok romance. 

In 2013, Carina tried to turn down a role at Amazon Studios before her future boss called her and said, “I'm offering you a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat, just get on.” She’d be employee 29 (approximately) of Amazon Studios and have the immense and chaotic pleasure of being on the ground floor of building a streaming service while working on shows like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Goliath and a whole lot of new and experimental content. 

After three years on the Drama side, she became part of the two person team that would turn the lights on for Prime Video International in 150+ countries and territories – developing local language content for India, Japan, Spain, France and Mexico, to name a few. The opportunity to learn about the tastes and preferences, working styles and practices of creators all over the world fostered a love of telling global stories. That coupled with a love of building things would bring her to Apple in 2017 to help start their International team. With a focus on internationally set shows with global reach, she’d develop shows like Masters of the Air, Shantaram and Monarch. 

After almost four years, Amazon called and lured her back to domestic Drama and Comedy. Since then, she’s overseen shows like Mr and Mrs Smith and the Guy Ritchie series, Young Sherlock. In the last couple years, she’s found a bit of a niche with book to screen adaptations in the YA / romance space, notably, the global hit, Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance books, and newly released Every Year After, based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling series. Up next is the start of production on Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill series focusing on finding love, rural life and rugged cowboys.
