Speaker Chris Hatcher
Chris Hatcher is a film and television producer with 15 years of experience spanning creative development and large-scale production. His work ranges from filmmaker-driven features to ambitious premium series, with projects reaching audiences worldwide. Chris is also the founding partner and operator of Aspect Film Studios in Toronto, whose clients have included Disney, Netflix, A24, and Amazon.
Most recently, Chris co-executive produced the Netflix series Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen and executive produced Netflix Canada’s Below (fka. Untitled Newfoundland Project). Additional producing credits for Netflix include The Madness, Painkiller, Sex/Life Seasons 1 and 2, Grand Army, and Designated Survivor Season 3.
Recent feature credits include Priscilla, written and directed by Sofia Coppola; Tiny Fugitives, an action-comedy starring Johnny Knoxville; and Sweet Angel Baby directed by Melanie Oates. Chris is particularly drawn to projects with a strong sense of place, cinematic ambition, and distinctive creative voices.
