Speaker Yolanda Garcia
Yolanda Garcia Cuevas is an Acquisitions Manager, Film at RTVE. She has 30 years of experience in media, with a career spanning acquisitions, management, production and leadership. She has participated in expert groups focused on acquisitions, sports production, films and documentaries, and is especially proud of her work promoting women in media, particularly around Olympic and Paralympic sports events.
Yolanda holds a BS in Audiovisual Communications and completed doctoral coursework at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with studies covering media production, media business and international relations. She also completed ESADE Executive Education’s Women in Top Management program. Her skill set includes digital media, communications, leadership, negotiation, sustainability and social media.
Since February 2025, Yolanda has served as Acquisitions Manager for Films, following three years as Acquisitions Manager, Non-Scripted. From 2014 to 2020, she was Head of Sports at RTVE, becoming the first woman to hold that role at the company.
