Speaker Matt Hornburg
As Co-President of Blue Ant Studios, Matt Hornburg oversees content strategy, development and production, working across Blue Ant Media’s integrated ecosystem of channels, studios and rights to ensure strong commercial alignment from concept through to international distribution.
Known for building globally exportable formats and high-impact original content, Matt leads a premium, multi-genre slate spanning unscripted, scripted, kids, family and young adult programming, as well as large-scale formats. Blue Ant Studios content appears on leading global platforms and broadcasters including Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, Disney, BBC, CBC,
and Bell Media. With offices in Toronto, London, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Ottawa, Halifax, Singapore, Vancouver, Burnaby and Sydney, the studio is well-positioned in key markets worldwide.
Previously, Matt co-founded and led marblemedia and D360 for more than two decades alongside Mark Bishop. Together, they built a globally recognized business known for creating hit formats and premium factual and entertainment programming.
A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s RTA School of Media, Matt has been instrumental in bringing award-winning programming to audiences worldwide, including Blown Away, Canada’s Drag Race, Race Against the Tide, and The Great Canadian Baking Show, as well as Restaurants on the Edge, Drink Masters, and the TIFF People’s Choice Award–winning documentary Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make Believe.
