Speaker Morad Koufane
Morad Koufane holds a degree from the Institute of Political Studies in Lyon and a DESS in audiovisual communication law from Paris-Sorbonne. He began his career at the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel (1994), before joining the French Embassy in New York as assistant audiovisual attaché (1995–1998), then serving as Audiovisual Attaché in Lisbon (2000).
He subsequently worked as a freelance strategic and artistic consultant for major groups including EY, Orange, Ubisoft, Publicis and Lagardère. Based in Qatar from 2006 to 2009, he contributed to the creation of the World Innovation Summit for Education and authored Stars of Science, a pan-Arab educational reality TV series broadcast in 17 countries.
He joined France Télévisions in 2010 as a trends and foresight specialist, heading strategic planning from 2017, before moving to the Transformation Department (2020) and becoming Advisor to the Chief Content Officer.
In January 2022 he was appointed Deputy Director of International Fiction, and since July 2024 he serves as Director of International and Young Adult Drama, overseeing co-productions and acquisitions of 40+ series at various stages of development, including Lucky Luke, The Woman Driver, Alice Guy, Zorro, Kabul, Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, The Swarm, Drops of God, Bardot, Gullivers, Lancelot, Le Tour de France and many more.
