Speaker Till Derenbach
Till Derenbach is CEO and Executive Producer of Zeitsprung Pictures, the Cologne-based production company founded in 1985 by producer Michael Souvignier. Since 2008, Derenbach has jointly overseen the company’s productions and has played a key role in shaping its creative direction and strategic growth.
He began his career in the media industry in the early 1990s while studying theatre and journalism in Cologne and Vienna, gaining practical experience on numerous film productions. In 2005, he completed a postgraduate degree in International Producing at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln.
Before joining Zeitsprung, Derenbach worked as a production manager and executive producer on major international films, including 7 Dwarves – The Forest Is Not Enough, The Dust of Time, and Mr. Morgan’s Last Love.
Under his leadership, Zeitsprung has produced critically acclaimed and award-winning projects such as The Barschel Case, The Diary of Anne Frank, Oktoberfest – 1900, Dear Thomas, and the Netflix series Kleo, receiving multiple German Film and Television Awards and international recognition. Recent highlights include John Cranko, Oktoberfest – 1905, Euphorie, and The Physician II.
He is currently developing an international feature film about Ernest Hemingway’s time in Venice, based on the novel by Hanns-Josef Ortheil.
In 2026, Derenbach co-founded Peak Point Pictures with Bastie Griese (MMC Movies) and Max Ophüls Prize winners Len Reddemann and Paul Hordych. The Cologne-based company unites seasoned producers with emerging creative talent to develop and produce international high-end series and films, focusing on debut voices and cross-border co-productions.
