Speaker Erica Meus-Saunders
Erica Meus-Saunders is an Afro-Caribbean woman who immigrated to Canada 11 years ago from the Bahamas. An active part of the Nova Scotia screen industry, she has directed and produced several films that have played at notable festivals – St. John’s International Women Film Festival (SJIWFF), Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF), Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival (HIFF), and international festivals in LA and Florida.
Most recently she co-produced Good Grief Season 2 - an OUTtv Original Series that premiered in April 2025. Her short documentary, Music Resistance, was nominated for Best Short film at the Screen Nova Scotia Awards in 2023.
