Speaker Gwen Jones
Gwen Jones is a senior media executive with nearly 30 years of experience in domestic and international content distribution. Currently, she serves as the Director, Distribution at CBC/Radio-Canada, where she manages domestic content sales, overseeing the licensing and distribution of their extensive content library to Canadian media platforms.
She also leads Curio.ca, CBC/Radio-Canada’s educational platform, with full end-to-end responsibility for the business including user experience, content strategy, marketing, sales, and long-term growth, ensuring the platform delivers meaningful value to educators and students across Canada. Additionally, Gwen oversees CBC’s Brand Licensing portfolio, providing strategic guidance for partnerships and merchandising initiatives that extend the reach of CBC and Radio-Canada brands.
Prior to joining CBC/Radio-Canada, Gwen held senior leadership roles in international sales at Blue Ant Media and domestic sales and co-productions at BBC Studios, leading distribution strategies, advising on content acquisitions and marketing initiatives across multiple genres. She is recognized for her collaborative leadership style, strategic vision, and ability to build high performing, engaged teams that deliver results in a complex, evolving market.
