Speaker Meghan Duffy
Executive Producer Meghan Duffy is the Founder of Black Watch Entertainment, where she develops and produces premium unscripted series, feature-length documentaries and TV movies for partners around the world. With more than two decades in the industry, Duffy has built a reputation for blending strong journalistic instincts with creative production, transforming ideas into vivid visual experiences that connect and captivate emotionally.
Having founded Black Watch Entertainment in 2010, Duffy specializes in true crime while producing a diverse slate. Her credits include CBC’s Moral Injuries: The Art of Jordan Van Sewell; Superchannel/ITV’s Finally Caught Seasons 1-6 and Secrets, Lies and DNA Ties; Lifetime Network’s The Woman with the Red Lipstick, I Have to Kill My Neighbor and Match, Meet Murder; and MarVista Entertainment’s Snowmance.
Prior to Black Watch Entertainment, Duffy built her career across both on-camera and behind-the-scenes roles in major production hubs including Vancouver, Toronto and Los Angeles. She contributed to Canada’s most recognized television programs, including Entertainment Tonight Canada, Dragon’s Den, CTV Morning Live, Winnipeg Direct and Breakfast Television.
Duffy’s leadership has earned her honors across the Canadian industry. She was selected as one of the Banff World Media Festival’s Top 50 Female Producers for its Producer’s Lab and was nominated for Realscreen’s inaugural Propelle and Everywoman Studios initiative, a female-focused accelerator program. She also was recognized by the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for her work building Manitoba’s entertainment sector.
Duffy continues to pursue bold new ideas and cultivate global partnerships that position Manitoba as a dynamic hub for international film and television production. She actively seeks strategic alliances and co-production opportunities that leverage the province’s unique strengths and resources.
