Speaker Jason Badal
Jason Badal is the Vice President & General Manager of Disney+ in Canada and is responsible for driving key business growth strategies and partnerships, as well as local government affairs efforts. Under his leadership, Disney+ Canada continues to serve as one of the leading direct-to-consumer streaming services in the region.
Prior to Disney, Jason was an executive and General Manager at Shopify for more than three years, Rogers Media and Sportsnet and Score Media. Before joining Score Media, Jason spent several years practicing as a technology and corporate lawyer at McCarthy Tetrault LLP.
Based in Toronto, Badal currently serves on the board of the MLSE Foundation and previously was a board member for the Canada Media Fund. He is also a former instructor of business law and negotiation at Toronto Metropolitan University and Osgoode Hall Law School.
