Kerry Tucker is an executive with 25+ years experience who has held CEO, COO and CMO roles in entertainment, media, retail, tech and gaming. Her data-driven leadership skills have been honed at Fortune 500 companies as well as startups, producing an executive with the unique ability to succeed inside both. She is a true growth leader, adept at unlocking synergies and revenue across multiple business units and uniting teams to achieve common goals. She is currently advising on the restructuring of Vice Media, recently acquired by Fortress Investment Group. She led the diligence process for Vice Digital’s recent joint venture with Savage Ventures and sits on the board of that new entity. She is currently advising on the strategy and positioning of Vice’s branded entertainment offerings.
Prior to Vice, Kerry was a full time advisor to Pixel United, the $2B mobile gaming company. There she oversaw the strategy for the future operating model and the modernization of PXU’s $500M marketing organization. Before launching into advisory work, Kerry spent 5 years as the Chief Marketing and Franchise Officer for pocket.watch, the powerhouse startup responsible for redefining creator economy and transforming YouTube creators and content into global franchises. Kerry came to pocket.watch from Hello Sunshine, Reese Witherspoon’s production company, where she served as the inaugural CEO. At Hello Sunshine, Kerry created the foundation for the company’s success and eventual $900M sale to Candle Media. Kerry’s startup experience began, however, with The Video Genome Project, one of the first AI companies in entertainment that programmatically built the largest, broadest, and most granular structured database of video content metadata. Kerry was instrumental in the acquisition of The Video Genome Project by hulu in 2016.
Before taking the leap into startups, Kerry was EVP/CMO of Victoria’s Secret, overseeing marketing for all business units and channels. She was charged with collapsing the silos between stores and e-commerce and managed a $600M marketing budget. Prior to Victoria’s Secret, Kerry held multiple ascending executive roles at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, ultimately becoming the first person to run marketing for both the media and merchandising operating units.
Kerry has been widely recognized for her achievements, including being named to the Forbes CMO Next list, the Variety Entertainment Impact Report, and Campaign’s Female Frontier Awards, to name a few. She has served as a board member to the Ad Council and as an Effie Judge. She lives in Los Angeles withe her three children.
