Georgina Lightning is a Cree actor/filmmaker with 34 years of experience in the film and entertainment industry. Lightning created a career for herself and children in Los Angeles after moving there in 1990. Her youngest Cody was just 5 years old in his first role in Geronimo full length feature film.
The Lightning Family has had the privilege of meeting and working alongside some of Hollywood’s finest such as Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Bradley Cooper, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, etc. To date the Lightnings have garnered over 100 credits in Film and TV roles. Each of the Lightnings have garnered awards for outstanding performances
and are all still actively evolving as skilled professionals in the industry.
After 3 decades of life in the Hollywood, the industry evolved into a virtual world allowing the Lightnings to return to Edmonton to raise the 3rd generation of Lightnings in their own treaty territory, where they plan on building a film economy for all indigenous filmmakers of turtle island, under the name Tribal Alliance Productions. TAP has an international alliance with the Confederation of Oklahoma tribes led by Prod partner Mo Brings Plenty, being developed into a studio concept to support the entire community of filmmakers, with a slate of content ready for production that will satisfy global audiences for decades to come.
