Rob Wade was named CEO of FOX Entertainment in October 2022. He is responsible for the company’s growing portfolio of businesses, including FOX Network; in-house unscripted studio FOX Alternative Entertainment (FAE); scripted content creator FOX Entertainment Studios (FES); Studio Ramsay Global in partnership with Gordon Ramsay; Emmy Award winning animation house Bento Box Entertainment; entertainment platform TMZ; independent production studio MarVista Entertainment; and worldwide content sales and distribution unit FOX Entertainment Global (FEG).
Under Wade’s leadership, FOX continues to deliver strong results, ranking as the #1 network in key demos for the 2022-23 full broadcast season and delivering strong programming for the current 2023-24 season. Among this season’s highlights, FOX claims the #1 primetime entertainment series with Ramsay’s Next Level Chef; the #1 new primetime series with the animated comedy Krapopolis, starring Hannah Waddingham; the season’s #1 new game show, The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe; and the eight highest-rated original primetime entertainment telecasts across Next Level Chef, Krapopolis, We Are Family, The Simpsons and The Masked Singer. Other FOX series launched under Wade’s purview include, to name a few, the multi-camera comedy Animal Control, starring and executive produced by Joel McHale; animated comedy Grimsburg, starring and executive produced by Jon Hamm the celebrity social experiment Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and dating program Farmer Wants a Wife. Animal Control, Grimsburg, Krapopolis, Next Level Chef and We Are Family are fully owned by FOX Entertainment and distributed by FEG,
Prior to being named CEO, Wade was President, Alternative Entertainment and Specials of FOX Entertainment, overseeing FOX’s unscripted programming, specials and alternative development slate, including such hits as The Masked Singer, LEGO Masters, Crime Scene Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay’s hits MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen.
Additionally, Wade spearheaded the formation of FAE and launch of its International Unscripted Format Fund to identify intellectual property for the global market. Among the programs launched by the Fund are celebrity competition Beat My Mini-Mes for France’s TF1, dating series Marriage Market for ProSieben and performance competition Celebrity Masterpiece, which aired on Workpoint in Thailand. Subsequently, Beat My Mini-Mes has since been formatted in Spain by Antena 3 and optioned for development in Israel by ITV Studios’ Armoza Formats, while Celebrity Masterpiece has been optioned by ITV Studios’ Multistory Media for development in the U.K. and by Paris-based Satisfaction for France.
Before joining FOX in 2017, he served as showrunner on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and was Head of Entertainment Development at BBC Worldwide. He was also an executive producer on FOX’s The X Factor and NBC’s America's Got Talent.
