An award-winning Writer, Director and Producer, Nimisha Mukerji's films have premiered at Tribeca and the Toronto International Film Festival. Her breakout feature, 65_RedRoses, was selected by Oprah Winfrey for her Documentary Club on OWN before being acquired by Netflix and Hulu. Subsequent features include Blood Relative and Tempest Storm, which was released theatrically by Mongrel Media. Through her company Shotglass Productions, Mukerji has written and produced content for HBO and PBS and she was nominated for a 2022 IDA Award for producing the feature Jacinta, which screened in competition at Tribeca. As an episodic director she’s worked for Netflix, Hulu, CW, Freeform, Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon Studios, ABC, Lifetime, Peacock and VICE. Most recently she was selected alongside Catherine Hardwicke and Geeta Patel to direct on the limited series Under The Bridge for Hulu. Mukerji has also worked on numerous first seasons including Gotham Knights, The Imperfects, The Way Home, Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion, and Life By Ella. Mukerji is a DGA and DGC member and an alumni of TIFF's Talent Lab. She’s been nominated for two DGC Awards, a Gemini, and a CSA award for directing. She is also a Warner Media Discovery 150 Artist and the co-creator of the series New Country, which she is currently developing.
