Tom Cox has been producing original scripted content for Canadian and world audiences for over thirty years. His credits include award-winning feature films, dramatic series, mini-series and television movies. SEVEN24 Films, specializing in unique scripted content with global appeal, was recently named Playback Magazine’s Production Company of the Year.
Current productions include Family Law for Corus and CW, JANN for CTV, RIDE for Hallmark and CTV and the CBC’s Heartland, the longest running one-hour drama series in Canadian history.
Previous series include the two-time People’s Choice Award winning Wynonna Earp, Fortunate Son, Young Drunk Punk, Wild Roses, Tom Stone, North of Sixty and The Ray Bradbury Theatre. Television movies and mini-series include Borealis, Burn Up, Mayorthorpe, Waking Up Wally, Chasing Freedom and After the Harvest.
International co-productions include the drama series Damnation and the feature films Brokeback Mountain, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Resurrecting the Champ.
In addition to being a board member of the Banff International Media Festival Foundation, Tom is a past chair of the Canadian Media Producers Association, the Alberta Media Production Industry Association and the National Screen Institute.
Tom is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contribution to the arts.
